FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) How do we get Internet Connection while I am staying in the cabin ?  
All our cabins, unlike others, are equipped with High Speed Internet & long-range Wi-Fi connectivity. You should be able to surf the net even at the decks outside the cabins.

2) What's the physical address of these Cabins ?
The cabins are in Hochatown rural area near Broken Bow, OK. No cabin in this area will have designated physical street address. Searching by Google, Yahoo maps ,  MapQuest or in GPS for Broken Bow or Hochatown, OK 74728 will help you to reach close to the cabins. From 259N (Main central highway in Broken Bow City), please follow our map & directions available at our website to reach your cabin.

3) What's about cell phone service in that area ?
Our cabins will have phone signals available in most areas. However, cell phone service is at some places extremely limited or with no service at all inside the Beavers Bend State Park. The pay phones are available at some convenience stores located in the Hochatown area. Our Cabins, unlike others are all equipped with High Speed Internet & Wi-Fi connectivity , so you may use your smart phone for internet phoning, Skype or Google Phone.

4) What are the activities that we can participate at ?
There are several things for everyone to see or participate in the Broken Bow Lake, Beavers Bend State Park, Ouachita National Forest & Mountain like hiking, biking, hunting, bass fishing, fly fishing, Cedar Creek golf course, river rafting in  Mountain Fork River & Glover River, parasailing, boat and jet ski rentals, horseback riding, paddleboats, bumper boats,  golfing, go carts,  a nature center, scuba diving, the Forest Heritage Center, museums, children’s playground area, abundant wildlife, and much more. You will be in the lap of nature with full relaxation & enjoyments. Our cabins will have huge private pond with fishing docks & walking trails.

5) Where do I check-in ?
It's a self-check In. The check-in information will be emailed to you 7 to 10 days prior to your arrival.

6) What is check-in & check-out Time ?
                                                                 
Check-in time is after 3 PM & check-out time is before 11AM daily. These times are firm in order to allow adequate time for cleaning the cabin & refilling hot tub between guests.

7) Can I do early check-in ?            
Depending on the readiness of the cabin, you may be accommodated for few hours early arrivals. However, the early check-ins are not guaranteed. An additional fee may be applicable for early check-ins.

8) Can I do late check-out ?
Depending on our next booking in the cabin, you may be allowed for late check-out with cabin manager's advance approval. The additional charge for longer stay after check-out time may be applicable.

9) What if we have more people in our group than the listed cabin occupant limit ?

Cabins are equipped to comfortably sleep the maximum number of guests indicated (2 per bed and 2 per sleeper sofa). We only supply enough amenities (towels, dishes, etc.) for that number of people. If you have more guests than the maximum limit, we suggest that you should book additional cabin. However, we may allow 2 additional guests with additional guest charge of $25 per night per guest, with advance approval of cabin manager.

10) When I make reservation online, how much will be charged to my credit card ?

A refundable security deposit of $250 for each reservation will be charged to your credit card right away at the time of reservation. However, this amount will be credited back to credit card on file after your check-out. The full cabin rental amount is charged to your credit card about 2 months prior to your stay. If the reservation date is within 2 months of your stay, the full cabin rental amount is also charged to your credit card right away at the time of the reservation

11) Are alcoholic beverages sold in area ?
Yes. There are many Liquor stores & convenient stores where you can buy whatever you need.  

12) Where can we get grocery & other supplies close-by ?
Yes, it's easily available. Pruett’s grocery store and Wal-Mart are located on HWY 259 in Broken Bow. There are several other General Stores and Gas Station convenient stores in Hochatown & Broken Bow area that will have good supply of grocery items that you might need.

13) Is there any fee to use the park and boat ramps ?
There is no fee to enjoy Beavers Bend State Park or to use the facilities at Broken Bow Lake. Fees apply for fishing and hunting in the lake. Licenses can be purchased at the local convenience stores and Wal-Mart store.

14) Do I need a fishing license ?
Our cabins have private fishing pond & fishing docks close to the cabin itself. For the guests of those cabins will not need any kind of license to fish and they can enjoy family time at the cabins' fishing docks free. But, while fishing in the river, all ages are required to hold a valid trout stamp and people 14 & over must hold a valid Oklahoma fishing license. When fishing on Broken Bow Lake, only a permanent or temporary fishing license is required. Fishing licenses and trout stamps may be purchased at Wal-Mart, most convenient stores or the Beavers Bend State Park office. Broken Bow Lake is well known for large mouth bass, white bass, crappie & walleye. Mountain Fork River is a designated trout stream. Rainbow and brown trout are stocked two times per month.

15) Where's the boat ramp ?

Beavers Bend Marina is located on Stevens Gap Road. There are several other boat ramps in Carson Creek and Stevens Gap.

16) Are water craft rentals available
?
 Yes – pontoon boats, fishing boats and Jet Ski rentals are available at Beavers Bend Marina.

17) Can we ride ATVs ?
No. ATVs are only allowed in designated ATV trails of the Ouachita National Forest. It is illegal to ride an ATV on any state or county roads. ATV rides are not allowed in the cabin sites. You must trailer your ATV vehicle to the ATV trails.

18) What is my driving distance to Broken Bow ?

From Dallas Downtown - Broken Bow = 190 miles /  About 3.5 hours drive.
From Oklahoma City - Broken Bow = 255 miles /  About 4-hours drive.
From Shreveport - Broken Bow = 155 miles  /  About 3-hours drive.
From Tulsa - Broken Bow = 218 miles / About 3.5 hours drive.

19) What are the cabin amenities ?
All our luxury cabins are fully equipped with all that you need for a relaxing vacation. The cabins have all cooking utensils, dishes, flatware, linens and towels for the number of people the cabin is designated for. Each cabin has an outdoor grill and centralized heating and air-conditioning. Some cabins have complete outdoor picnic area with BBQ grill, fireplace & wash sink in the covered porch. All cabins will have a nice hi-power deluxe signature hottub. Coffee pots and toaster are also found in each cabin. Our cabins have game room with pool table, Air Hockey or foosball Tables with wet bar & icemaker etc. Our cabins have multiple internet-ready HD TVs for watching YouTube, Facebook , NetFlix etc. Please visit individual cabin webpage for all amenities available for that particular cabin.

20) Can I bring my pet ?
Our cabins are pet-friendly, but for max 2 small dogs. No cats, birds or other animals are allowed. Please make sure to bathe, brush and treat for fleas before bringing your furry family member to the cabin. There is $50 pet fee per stay per pet in our cabins for small dogs (below 15 lbs). For Big dogs the pet fee is $100 per dog per stay. It is strongly suggested that you crate your pet while you leave them alone inside the cabin.

21) Is there any cabin located on the lake ?

Broken Bow Lake is managed by the Corps of Engineers. Therefore, no cabins are allowed to be built near the lake water. Our cabins are located very close to the Broken Bow Lake in the Ouachita National Forest. However some of our cabins are at the waterfront because of  Creek or Private Fishing pond at the close proximity to the cabin decks.

22) Will we get firewood at the cabin ?
Most of our cabins are with gas fireplaces where you don't need any wood burning. However, for outdoor fire pits or fire rings , during the peak winter time (Nov-Feb) , the firewoods are provided FREE for campfires. During other times, the fire woods can be available for purchase at many local convenient stores.  

23) Are there any restaurant in the area ?
There are several restaurants located in the Hochatown / Beavers Bend area – Shady Oaks, Abendigos, Stevens Gap & Beavers Bend Café. All are casual dress. The Frontier General Store offers take-out food. There are several additional restaurants with different other food taste in Broken Bow or Idabel.

24) Are Canoe rentals available ?
Yes, it's available on the lower Mountain Fork River. Also inside Beavers Bend State Park , there are canoe, paddle boats, bumper boats & kayak rentals available. For more information, please visit our "Local Attraction" web page.

25) Are there mountain bike and hiking trails in the area ?
Yes. Most designated bike / hiking trails are located within Beavers Bend State Park. For more information, visit our "Attraction" web page. However, some of our cabins will have its own hiking & biking trail in the cabin site itself.

26) Will I see wild animals in the area ?

Yes. The cabins are located in the forest. Lots of rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, deer, etc are seen. The raccoons might as well come to the deck at night. Please keep the trash at the designated trash disposal chamber that's equipped with a heavy lid. Please don't leave any trash outside on the porch or deck. In the woods, there may be some poison ivy and poisonous snakes like copperheads & rattlesnakes. You may like to carry some repellant to Poison ivy and bugs.

27) How much is the TAX that I have to pay ?
Currently total 9% tax ( OK Sales Tax 6%, County Lodging/Tourism Tax 3% ) is charged on all cabin rents. This rates are regulated by OK State,City & county legislation and ordinances and it may change from time to time. 

28) What is the nearest MapQuest address ?
Broken Bow, OK. All cabins are in rural areas in the forest area and so they do not have any physical address. Please see our area map on the web site. Entering "Broken Bow High School, Hwy. 259, Broken Bow, OK 74728" into your GPS will help.

29) How will I find my cabin ?

You will receive directions from Broken Bow to your cabin, as well as your cabin access code by e-mail approximately 7-10 days prior to your arrival.

30) Do you have handicapped facilities ?

No.

31) Can I smoke in the Cabin ?

NOT AT ALL. All our cabins are smoke-free. You can only smoke outside the cabin. Also please make sure you completely put off the cigarette ends & DONOT throw it out into the woods. If any guest smokes inside the cabin, there will be a fine of $500 to be charged to your credit card.

32) Do you accept cash payments ?

No. A valid credit card is required in order to make a reservation.

33) Are your cabins air conditioned ?
Yes – all of our cabins are luxury homes, fully equipped with thermostat controlled central heating and air-conditioning.

34) Are 4-wheel drive vehicles required ?

Most of our cabins have easy access. However, some cabins are located in areas where 4-wheel drive may be considered more convenient.

35) Where can I park my boat ?

Our cabins have ample parking space in the front or side access roads where you can park it comfortably.

36) Will I get any special discount for my next stay ?
Yes absolutely. We expresss our gratitude to our repeat guests. We'll offer you a discount for your next visit. So, please come back.
